Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on the craniosacral system which consists of the brain, spinal cord and meningeal membrane. The skull is made of 22 bones that are separated by cartilage. This allows for a rhythmic movement that acts as a pumping mechanism that pumps cerebral spinal fluid up and down the spine, nourishing the peripheral nerves and modulating the circulation of lymph and blood.

Active Muscle Reset

Active muscle reset is a manual muscle technique designed to increase range of motion, restore proper muscle length and alleviate pain. This is achieved by identifying muscle imbalances, manually manipulating the soft tissue, resetting stretch receptors, releasing fascia, restoring gait function and providing repatterning exercises that facilitate neurological integration.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology is a means to gain information from the body through muscle testing. Because muscle testing provides information based on a neuromuscular response, I use it to evaluate the integrity of a muscle. I look to see if the muscle can contract and sustain the contraction. If the integrity is compromised, it will present itself as pain, weakness, reactive hypertonicity and joint instability which is often accompanied by inflammation.

Methylation and Nutritional Coaching

Methylation is a biochemical process in the body that uses methyl donors to regulate DNA synthesis and repair, neurotransmitter function, detoxification and hormone balance. Imbalances or deficiencies in methylation can have widespread effects on your health and well-being, so understanding your methylation status can be valuable for optimizing your health. Based on your genetic methylation profile, a program will be designed to enhance your overall health and create the environment for systems to self correct. It is NOT a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment; however, it can produce significant and lasting change. Your program will include nutritional supplementation as well as dietary and lifestyle changes.
